The Harper government's pending decision on the proposed takeover of PotashCorp continued to generate fireworks Tuesday, as Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall said any approval would be a "profound betrayal" of his province.

At the same time that Wall was hardening his position, Industry Minister Tony Clement sent out an email saying that officials at Investment Canada have yet to make a recommendation to him on whether to approve the takeover.
