G&M: Ottawa Strikes Tentative Labour Deal With Major Public-Sector Union
The Conservative government announced a tentative labour deal late
Monday with nearly 100,000 of its public servants that would see wages
increase 5.3 per cent over the next three years.
The tentative deal affects three out of five bargaining units of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, the largest federal union. It primarily affects program and administrative staff; technical workers and border-services officials were unable to reach a deal.
