Watch: Obama Fires Back At Not Being Angry Enough
There has been an ongoing narrative coming primarily from the major media outlets that the President hasn't been angry enough over the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico. In fact it has spread so quickly that a recent poll showed that 69% of those polled found the government response to the spill as poor, while 61% thought the same thing about President Bush's response to hurricane Katrina. This poll is of course an outlier as the comparison is absurd on any level considering the Federal government response to the oil spill was quick and robust.
Every morning for the past two weeks, the usual talking heads and political operatives like Joe Scarborough continued to vomit up complaints about the President's emotion is integral to solving the problem. The fact is that we are watching the bad side of politics where style overtakes substance, whereas the President is trying to focus on problem solving.
In any event, President Obama took to the airwaves in the form of an interview with Matt Lauer of the Today show to fight back against the vapid attacks over his administration's handling of the Gulf oil spill.
