No Life Without Parole For Younger Than 18, Non-Homicide
The Supreme Court has just ruled this morning on the case Graham v. Florida whereby the majority found in a 6-3 ruling, that juveniles cannot be sentenced to life without parole for crimes that are not related to a murder.
Justices Thomas, Scalia, and Alito dissented form the majority, although Thomas joined Scalia's opinion while Alito wrote his own.
In a related ruling the court also found that sex offenders could be held indefinitely without being offered the possibility for parole.
