Inflation Rose 1.8% In April
Energy costs led the way to a 1.8% increase in the consumer price index for the month of April. Energy prices, led by transportation costs and specifically gasoline, rose 9.8% in the year from April 2009 to April 2010, accompanying a rise in all other expenses except clothing and footwear.
