Canada Sees 109,000 New Jobs
Stats Canada has released the latest figures for jobs this morning and on the surface it looks pretty good with a huge increase of 109,000 jobs.
That pushes down the overall unemployment rate by 0.1% to 8.1%, but it should be noted that the majority of those jobs were in the service industry. Employment growth came from men 25 years of age and older followed by youth employment, however the majority of jobs were part time (65,000) while full time jobs only accounted for 44,000.
