G&M: Adverse Drug Reports Up 35 Per Cent In 2009
Health Canada received nearly 30,000
reports of adverse reactions to drugs and other health products from
Canadians last year, a substantial 35-per-cent increase from the
previous year.
The department received 27,496 adverse reaction reports last year, compared to 20,360 reports in 2008.
