The Addams Family...
A somewhat forgotten and under appreciated series that I first remember watching in the '70's as syndicated re-runs and loved it, was the Addams Family. Morticia (Caroyln Jones) was one of my first real crushes as a kid... Lol, well and Emma Peel, but I digress.
All the episodes are now available on Hulu and well worth seeing as it truly is classic comedy. John Astin and Carolyn Jones are so perfect together and Jackie Coogan as Fester has some great bits.
Yea, it's a mid '60's sitcom but you can't help but enjoy it even now. Really, the comedy and interactions are classic stuff. The cast is good together and Lurch of course is legendary. At 23-26 minutes an episode they are great to watch when you don't have time to commit to a movie or an hour long session. :)
Also, another thing I have always noticed about the Addams Family was that for a series at that time, they seemed to be the healthiest, happiest family on TV. Most sitcoms of that era were kinda based on marital conflict of some kind. Look at anything from the early 60's and you see really frightening depictions of marriage in most sitcoms.
Gomez and Morticia really showed what a "good" relationship can be like, they love each other unreservedly and had great a great relationship with their kids.
The Addam's Family is a really great comedy, and thanks to the net, you can watch it any time you want.
My 2cp...
