Unemployment Down to 9.7 Precent
Unemployment fell in January in the United States on gains from the temporary help and retail sector, although jobs fell in construction and warehousing. Despite the lowering of the overall unemployment numbers, there has been a trend upwards of long term unemployment which perhaps play into the idea that companies and businesses are learning how to operate without as many workers as they had before the crash. The total amount of jobs gained in January was 378,000, lowering the overall number to 9.3 million unemployed.
