After proroguing Parliament for the second time in just over a year, it has become clear to the Minority Conservative government that their ploy has backfired.  The latest EKOS poll shows the Liberals and Conservatives in a statistical tie after having led the Liberals by 15 points.

The turn around in the polls can be attributed to the Prime Minister Stephen Harper shutting down Parliament again, and he knows it.  That is why the government has sent out a memo to its MP's to cancel their traditional March and April breaks, which MP's would have taken normally, but because the prorogation lasts into early March they can't afford to take any more time off.
