The study which led to a huge controversy surrounding a possible link between autism and vaccine's has finally been retracted by the Lancet.  Andrew Wakefield was the researcher who penned the study and has since been found by the General Medical Council of Britain, to have presented the study in a, "irresponsible and dishonest" manner.  Although several subsequent studies have contradicted the findings in Mr. Wakefield's study, it spurred some celebrities to embarrass themselves perpetuating a fear of vaccines and contributed to parents being irresponsible and refusing to get their children vaccinated.
