Talking Points Memo is reporting that Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will be the point man on Immigration reform legislation this year after taking over the immigration subcommittee of the Judicial committee from a then ailing Ted Kennedy.  TPMDC has been told that Senator Schumer has been working with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on a bill in a bi-partisan effort that Schumer says, "we can have something that can be ready to go whenever the president chooses, as soon as early this year."
