Reuters: Iran Blames U.S., Israel In Killing Of Scientist
Iranian state media are blaming the death of professor Massoud Ali-Mohammadi by a remote controlled bomb attached to his motorcycle on U.S. and Israeli agents. The professor was a nuclear scientist at the University of Tehran and was said to be a supporter of the state according to the government run media. The Iranian foreign ministry said, "Such terrorist acts and the apparent
elimination of the country's nuclear scientists will definitely not
obstruct scientific and technological processes."
However, western officials say that killing one nuclear scientist would be pointless considering that the Iranian nuclear program is very advanced with a large number of engineers and and scientists working on the project.
