A magnitude 7.0 earthquake centred around Port-au-Prince, Haiti has affected some 2 million people.  Electricity has been affected on the island and dozens are hurt and or dead in this very serious disaster, made even worse considering that the country is the poorest in the Western Hemisphere and has very little infrastructure to handle a large humanitarian response.
