Obama Remarks On Haiti Relief Effort

President Obama addressed the nation for a third day to present an update as to the ongoing efforts to aid the people of Haiti.  Mr. Obama said that he had spoken with the President of Haiti and expressed his deepest condolences and conveyed America's strong support for the relief efforts underway.  The President went on to report that medicine, supplies, food, water, and aid workers continue arrive in Haiti not only from the United States, but also from countries around the world like Canada, Brazil, France, the UK, and the Dominican Republic.

As before, Mr. Obama emphasized the United States' commitment to help, not only in the short term, but for the long haul and then proceeded to thank the American people for their generosity during tough economic times.
