NYT: Obama To Offer Aid For Families In State Of The Union Address

In what is being anticipated as the Obama administration's most important week politically since he entered office, the New York Times has uncovered that President Obama will propose aid for the middle class in the State of the Union.  After the loss of Ted Kennedy's seat to Scott Brown who ran under the Republican ticket, but advertised himself as an independent, Democrats are struggling to hold the pieces of their platform together and find a way forward with the midterm elections looming in November.

The President will propose a modest package including a tax credit on child care, caps on some student loan payment plans, and a requirement for employers to let workers save automatically for retirement.
