Zakaria Amara, the mastermind behind a plot to detonate three, 1 tonne ammonium nitrate bombs at the Toronto Stock Exchange, CSIS offices in Toronto, and a military base, has been sentenced to life in prison.  He pleaded guilty in October 2009 to knowingly participating in a terrorist group and intending to cause an explosion for the benefit of a terrorist group.
