CBC: Canadians To Be Sentenced For Trying To Buy Missiles
In August of 2006 two Tamil-Canadians Suhil Sabaratnam and Thiruthanikan ( Thani) Thanigasalam. drove from Toronto to Long Island to meet who they thought was an arms dealer to buy 10 SA-18 heat seeking anti aircraft missiles and launchers, 500 AK-47 assault rifles and other military equipment, but it turned out that the man they met was an undercover FBI agent. They have plead gulity to conspiracy and material support for terrorism and face 25 years to life.
