Canada Sends DART Team To Haiti

Canada has sent a 20 member disaster assistance response team to Haiti to scout the situation in Haiti to determine what aid needs to be sent to the Caribbean nations capital that was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake.  Technically, Canada can't send a full team until they are officially asked to do so by the Haitian government, but they expect to receive that invitation later today.  Canada's DART team provides basic medical care which includes a medical platoon of 40 staff and a pharmacy to treat minor injuries without surgery, it is also equipped to produce clean drinking water, repair basic infrastructure, and the ability to set up quick communications.
