Unemplyment Rate Drops to 10% from 10.2%
The U.S. Department of Labor released the latest jobs numbers for the country this morning showing a surprising drop in overall unemployment numbers from 10.2% to 10%. The report says that payroll job losses averaged 135,000 per month with employment flaling in construction, manufacturing, and information, while temporary help services and health care added jobs.
The overall economy only shed 11,000 jobs in November from the revised October numbers of 111,000 jobs lost. Observers are noting that the unexpected drop in unemployment numbers may not last.
