Politico: China Won't Agree To US Deal At Copenhagen
In the latest blow to negotiations at the Copenhagen Climate talks, China has turned down an "operational agreement" proposed by President Obama that would have had independent monitors determine if measures to decrease pollution based on economic output were working.
Politically this could be a major set back for Democrats who are trying to pass a companion pollution bill in the Senate and will have major problems passing anything at all if China won't play by similar rules.
