Diplomat Richard Colvin who has been the focus of Conservative led government smears when he went testified to the committee that he repeatedly warned the government that there was credible information which indicated Afghan detainees were abused after being handed over to Afghan intelligence by Canadian forces.  The government invited witnesses to come and testify to the same Parliamentary committee who consistently smeared the reputation of Mr. Colvin calling him a Taliban dupe and that the government received no reports on any torture allegations.

Today Mr. Colvin fought back and released a 17 page letter to Parliament directly refuting, point by point, the testimony heard by the committee following his own testimony.
