Vampires And Werewolves Dominate Box Office
The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the highly anticipated movie sequel to Twilight, broke the single day box office record of $67 million previously held by The Dark Knight with just under a $73 million haul. It is estimated that for the weekend the movie could have made over $140 million.
Normally one would think that the majority of people going to see this movie would be teenage girls and more than likely quite a few boyfriends, however it seems that there were large numbers of adults who were just as willing to buy a ticket.
The movies are based on the vampire fantasy based books by Stephenie Meyer about the love of young woman and a 104 year old vampire set in Washington.
