Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans today that Israel would halt new settlement construction in the West Bank for at least 10 months in the hopes of restarting peace talks. 

Haaretz.com is reporting that the Prime Minister said, "I hope that this decision will help launch meaningful negotiations to reach a historic peace agreement that would finally end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians."
