EI Numbers Swell

After 2 months of declines in the number of people receiving Employment Insurance, Statistics Canada has released a report that showed those numbers grew in September by 7.1% for a total number of beneficiaries of 818,000 people.

According to the report the largest increases were in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, with youths making up the fastest growing demographic on EI.  Even with this setback the number of people on EI is still below the peak last May.
